It's Waiver Wire Time
Time to start looking at strength of schedule
I gotta say, it's been awesome watching Baker Mayfield not only have success but be doing it at such a high level. Good on Tampa Bay for bringing him in and signing him and good on Mayfield for leveling out what had been a tumultuous start to his career.
What does his success mean for your fantasy teams? That's exactly what RotoPass is here to help you with. Let's jump in.
Fantasy Life —> Waiver Wire Tool
It's Tuesday. You know what that means … settle in and start combing through your rosters and get those waiver claims in.
One challenge you might face is the different sizes of the leagues you play in. Fantasy Life and their Waiver Wire Tool have the perfect solution:
A customizable waiver wire tool that takes into account your league size, scoring, and roster settings.
The needs of your roster in an 8-team league vs a 14-team league are vastly different. Fantasy Life has taken that into account and gives you both suggestions and FAAB recommendations based on your unique needs.
Dynasty League Football —> Dynasty Trade Analyzer
Even though dynasty leagues tend to have a more long-term outlook, values can and do change on a weekly basis during the fantasy football season. Dynasty managers shouldn't be afraid to make moves now to capitalize on current values.
DLF and their Dynasty Trade Analyzer can help you pin down those specific values to ensure you are getting the most out of your trade.
Here's an example. Now, could you flip an older WR coming off a two-TD performance for a pair of young RBs? Maybe … may not. Even so, this tool can give you a quick snapshot to see where to begin your negotiations. Don't ignore the dynasty trade market during the fantasy season.
Footballguys —> Targets by Team
Understanding how offenses are spreading the ball around to their respective positional groups is useful because it helps us make more informed lineup, waiver, and trade decisions.
The Targets by Team tool from Footballguys breaks down weekly targets by position group (RB, WR, TE) and then by individual player. It's a great way to get a quick overview of how positional groups match up against each other and how certain players are trending up or down.
Did you know Javonte Williams has 4+ targets in four of his last five games? That could be the data point you need moving into this next week.
RotoViz —> Strength of Schedule
Now that we have six weeks of data to work with, we have a pretty good idea of how good (or not so good) defenses are against specific offensive positions.
RotoViz and their Strength of Schedule Steaming App allow you to see how difficult upcoming matchups are for QBs, RBs, WRs, and TEs. You can view the rest of the season or set your own range of weeks.
This is super helpful for navigating bye weeks and, as we get closer to the end of the season, the fantasy playoffs.
Looking ahead, here are the teams with the best and worst matchups for their RBs. This means Miami RBs have a favorable matchup over the next month while the 49ers RBs have the toughest matchup during that time.
Reinforcements Incoming
Did you know that both T.J. Hockenson and Nick Chubb are close to making their season debuts? That could be huge for your fantasy rosters if you're looking to either stay in the playoff race or claw your way back into the hunt.
RotoPass has everything you need to navigate these treacherous mid-season waters. With bye weeks here and injuries coming fast and furious, you'll want a one-stop location to manage the flow of information, tools, and resources.
